The DMPK Department is looking to further enhance its scientific talent base at our R&D site in Ridgefield, CT.
We're looking for scientists at multiple levels who will propose and implement in vitro and in vivo experiments in support of our development candidates.
Additional responsibilities include supporting multiple projects; defining, implementing, and communicating tactics for achieving overall R&D project goals; and carefully evaluating and interpreting data.
Description:
Employer is seeking a highly motivated Senior Scientist or Principal Scientist to join the Drug Metabolism & Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) department at our US headquarters in Ridgefield, CT.
As a Senior Scientist or Principal Scientist, you will be responsible for conducting in vitro studies to evaluate the interaction of drugs, metabolites, and reference compounds with drug metabolizing enzymes.
You will be expected to evaluate and interpret the data generated, apply the knowledge gained from these studies toward the advancement of compounds in our Development portfolio, and contribute to scientific advancement in the field of drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics.
Active and productive collaboration with other DMPK scientists, both internally and externally, is also required.
You will be expected to propose and implement new techniques, effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects, and implement strategies to reach predetermined milestones and achieve R&D and corporate goals.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Design, conduct, interpret, and report data from in vitro metabolism studies using various cellular and subcellular systems, e.
g.
microsomes, hepatocytes, and transfected cells.
Integrate data from transporter studies with drug metabolism and pharmacokinetic concepts, including but not limited to PBPK modeling.
Conduct routine LC-MS/MS based analysis of samples; also maintain, troubleshoot, and solve assay development problems Communicate results and interpretation of data through oral presentations and written documents to other DMPK colleagues, multidisciplinary project teams, and management.
Comply with applicable regulations, demonstrate the ability to perform all work in a safe manner, and maintain proper records in accordance with SOPs and policies.
Requirements:
Ph.
D.
degree (0-5 years of experience) in Drug Metabolism, Pharmacokinetics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other relevant discipline.
Experience with the design and conduct of experiments to evaluate the interaction of molecules with drug metabolizing enzymes.
An in depth knowledge of drug metabolizing enzymes and an advanced understanding of pharmacokinetic principles would be considered highly beneficial.
Experience with studies involving drug transporters would be advantageous.
Post-doctoral experience (up to 2 years) would be advantageous.
Experience with the safe and appropriate use of radioactivity for in vitro studies is preferred.
Effective oral and written communication skills are essential.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
