Design and implement mechanistic PK/PD and quantitative systems pharmacology models in support of Employer's innovative pre-clinical New Biological Entity (NBE) R&D portfolio.
Represent the PK/PD modeling discipline on multi-disciplinary teams and integrate PK/PD considerations into team strategy.
Collaborate with key stakeholders in pre-clinical and clinical development in support of the overall translational research strategy for projects.
Enhance capabilities of group by implementing novel modeling approaches and technologies.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Independently develops pre-clinical PK/PD and quantitative systems pharmacology models that enhance decision making for NBE target and candidate selections and inform translational research strategies for NBEs Uses modeling and simulation to predict human efficacious dose/dose regimen, and influences selection of first-in-human starting dose Designs, analyzes and interprets quantitative pharmacology and pharmacokinetic data and communicates results to teams and management Leverages literature data or proposes new experiments to validate models or test model-generated hypotheses Develops new methodologies, protocols or procedures that contribute to core group/research goals and reflect expert knowledge PK/PD modeling representative on multiple cross-functional project teams Effectively collaborates with scientists within and outside functional area (e.
g.
therapeutic area biologists and molecule discovery scientists Prepares clear technical reports, publications and oral presentations Develops broad knowledge in field of expertise and enhances internal capabilities of group Presents work at internal/external scientific meetings and publishes work in scientific journals Prepares clear technical reports, publications and oral presentations; Independently communicates results in the form of reports and or presentations; Presents responsibly and defends own work at meetings; May deliver updates to senior level management in context of overall project goals Develops expertise in a specific project-relevant area or technology; May provide guidance and expertise to advance specific projects or evaluates and proposes new technologies and concepts in support of multiple projects; Ability to work with various LIMS; Compilation of associated outputs with supervision Keeps abreast of relevant literature; Assumes responsibility for direct reports as needed including recruiting, managing, mentoring and developing scientific staff Complies with all applicable regulations; Ensures that work performed in area of responsibility is conducted in a safe and compliant manner; Maintains proper records in accordance with SOPs and policies Contributes to departmental administration; Demonstrates fiscal responsibility with respect to cost of experiments, technology, external collaborations, and travel Senior Scientist Requirements:

Degree Pharmacokinetics, Pharmaceutical sciences, Pharmacology or related discipline with proven track record of applying modeling and simulation approaches in academia or industry or equivalent experience in a related field Theoretical and practical knowledge of pharmacokinetics, PK/PD and quantitative systems pharmacology modeling Experience using one or more commercially available modeling and simulation platforms (e.
g.
Phoenix/WinNonlin, ADAPT, NONMEM, MATLAB, SimBiology, etc.
) Experience in mechanism-based PK/PD modeling of therapeutic proteins is highly desired Ability to build effective working relationships and influence others both inside and outside department Strong aptitude for sharing expertise with cross-functional and global teams Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in an interdisciplinary environment Committed to professional development of self and others Scientist IV Requirements:
Master's Degree in Pharmacokinetics, Pharmaceutical sciences, Pharmacology with 6
years' experience in a related scientific discipline or Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacokinetics, Pharmaceutical sciences, Pharmacology with 10
years' experience in related scientific discipline.
Requires excellent communication, interpersonal & organizational skills; Requires ability to operate independently.
Supplemental technical courses in area of expertise Ability to operate laboratory equipment with independence Ability to draft technical reports Demonstrate written and verbal communication skills Concise and accurate reporting of technical data and interpretation thereof Proven problem solving ability Able to act for supervisor in his/her absence Appropriate level of understanding of applicable regulations Eligibility Requirements:
