TPG is searching for a direct hire employee as part of their global team. As always we are speaking directly to the hiring manager.
Responsible for parts of the global data network, work with the datacom team, and handle projects. Hands-on experience with routers, switches and firewalls is required. Operational knowledge of routing and switching (preferably Cisco); data network infrastructure; VOIP networks, tools, troubleshooting, and maintenance is preferred routing and switching. Pluses include experience in the following areas: Checkpoint Firewalls, Cisco Sourcefire Intrusion Prevention, DMZ environments, Linux knowledge, VPNs.o Critical Thinking -
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to learn quickly on the job, work both independently and within the team to be able to solve problems, make well thought-out recommendations and produce clear and well written documentation.o Security Standards - Must be able to function efficiently in a monitored environment, adhere to processes and standards encompassing datacom and infrastructure security.o Teamwork - Must be able to function in a collaborative environment within and across IT/Telecom teams.o Communications Skills - Must be effective with excellent oral and written communication.
o Project Management - Must be organized and have the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Responsibilitieso Work in concert with and take direction from manager to support the datacom networking environment for troubleshooting, maintenance, and project related worko Manage projects within and across the infrastructure.o Be an effective team player working with colleagues collaboratively on data networks, voice systems, and associated projects.o Adhere to change management and secure implementation processes.o Work with vendors when planning and quoting projects - provide financial and resource requirements for implementing department initiatives.o Prepare purchase requisitions and maintain maintenance records in accordance with department initiatives and infrastructure. Qualifications/Selection Criteriao 3-5 years in the following areas: Solid networking knowledge. Hands-on experience with Cisco switches, Cisco routers and firewalls.
Self managed. Critical thinking capability Good working knowledge of enterprise networking including techniques, approaches, processes, and security. Network management tools - utilize 3rd party analysis tools to perform analysis on the environment, troubleshoot productions issues and provide capacity planning.o This position requires a self-starter/self-learner that demonstrates clear accountability that can adapt easily whether working independently or with a team. o The candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills and strong judgment. o Bachelors Degree preferred.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
