Senior Scientist needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Ridgefield, CT.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop in-silico structure elucidation of small organic molecules using NMR chemical shift data, modeled conformational predictions and molecular orbital theory.
- Contribute to the development and optimization of program automation.
- Associate molecular modelling with solution NMR to enable 3D structural correlations at the atomic and molecular levels.
- Plan and perform experiments with minimal supervision to provide investigative support of structural predictions.
- Write protocols, methods and technical reports.
- Provide scientific interpretation of results with minimal guidance.
- Author original manuscripts; present at external and internal scientific meetings.
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- PHD. in Organic Chemistry or equivalent with expertise in Molecular Modeling or similar area of study.
- Basic understanding of molecular structures, inter-atomic distances, hydrogen bonding, torsion angle strain, hydrophobic and hydrophilic interactions.
- Knowledgeable in the routine use of molecular modelling software (example: Gaussian, MOE, etc.)
- Familiarity with performing conformational searches of organic molecules/ranking energies/searching for global minima.
- Experience with establishing a database to enable accurate structure predictions using an internal knowledge base of NMR and X-ray.
- Familiarity with high resolution NMR structure elucidation (solution and/or solid state) is highly desirable.
